Cookies and Tracking
This page covers every visitor to the Cranbrook Casino website, whether or not they hold an account. It applies to each visit to our pages from a computer, tablet or phone.
Understanding cookies
A cookie is a small file that a website saves in your browser so it can recognize your device on your next visit. Some are removed when you leave the site, and others remain for a set period.
We also rely on related technologies, including pixels and local storage. Wherever this page mentions cookies, it includes these as well.
Analytics cookies and site performance
These cookies tell us which pages members visit, how fast they load and where errors appear. We analyze the combined data to improve the Lobby, Live Casino, Jackpots and the cashier. They are only set with your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time.
Marketing cookies and relevant offers
With marketing cookies, we can check whether our advertising reaches its audience and limit how often a single message appears. They are set only with your permission.
Marketing cookies are never used to target anyone under 19, self-excluded members or players taking a cooling-off break. Where provincial rules restrict incentive advertising, we change how these cookies are applied.
Strictly necessary cookies that keep the site running
Certain cookies are essential for the casino to function. They:
- keep you logged in securely;
- support geolocation and identity checks;
- protect the cashier against fraud;
- keep game sessions stable;
- record the cookie choices you make.
Because these cookies are essential to how the site works, they do not require consent and stay active regardless of your settings.
Identifying third-party cookies
Certain cookies come from our partners instead of from us. They include:
- game studios whose titles appear in the Lobby and Live Casino;
- payment providers that process deposits and withdrawals;
- advertising and analytics partners.
Each partner handles the data its cookies collect under its own privacy terms. Where a third-party cookie is non-essential, it runs only if you consent.
Managing your choices
When you first visit, a consent banner lets you accept or refuse each optional category. To update your choice later, use the cookie settings link at the foot of every page.
Your browser settings also let you block or remove cookies, and its help section explains the steps. Removing cookies logs you out and erases any saved preferences.
If you block strictly necessary cookies, logging in, depositing and playing will not work properly.
Functional cookies and saved preferences
Functional cookies remember choices that make the site easier to use, such as:
- your language;
- how the site appears on your screen;
- your sound preferences in games;
- the titles you played most recently.
They do not track you on other websites. The site remains fully functional with them disabled, although you will need to reapply these preferences on every visit.
Revisions to this page
This page is revised whenever we add or remove a cookie, a partner changes how its cookies operate, or the law changes. The version shown here is current and displays its revision date. If a change requires new consent, the banner will reappear to ask for it.
